First Halloween!

Harry-Bear experienced his first Halloween this past week. Although Meg wouldn't let me take him out to score us some candy, we did dress him up in a really cute sweet pea costume.

We also worked really hard at Harry's bedtime routine this week, trying to finish what we started a month or so ago, to get him to put himself down to sleep in his crib rather than being held, rocked, or nursed to sleep. The first night was awful, as he cried for nearly an hour, but each day it got better, with the last few nights taking just 5 or 10 minutes.

Meg and I continue to be amazed at what a great little boy we have. We are so blessed. Each day he gets more active and involved, more interested in his surroundings, and just plain more fun!

We've had to dress Harry up more warmly the last few weeks, and these nice booties from Grammy were a real nice touch!

The sweet pea costume was handed down from Harry's cousin Elise. Elise was seven months old when she wore this costume. This chunky 4-monther fills it out nicely!

"Hey, where's my candy?"

We love it when we find a hat to match Harry's outfit. He's too young to take them off yet!

Harry still loves the Gymini. We love it too. It gives us a great option when we need to set our little man down and get things done around the house.

Harry's learning to "stand" on our laps. I think he likes it so much because it brings his eyes up to our level.

Harry also seems to love the "superbaby" game (Don't worry mom, I don't toss him, just hold him up). It's a great way to get a smile out of him... and sometimes a giggle.
