Ty-Ty

Ty-Ty is a rather simple Cornellism, obviously a replacement for tired. Harry has been extra ty-ty lately, and Meg and I think he's going through a growth spurt.
He's also really close to smiling, and has been much more interested in Meg and me, watching us closely and turning when he hears our voices.

"Whata-ya mean I look like an elf?"

Rachel came over to visit, & even called Harry first to make sure they wore matching shirts!

Harry loves his new bouncy seat! "Thanks great aunt Jackie! Mom got it with her gift card!"

"Bubbles anyone?"

"No mommy, not the face again!"

Harry folds his feet in prayer...

Harry likes the corner of the couch....but only for a little while.

Looking over daddy's shoulder...

"Dad! You're supposed to support my head!"

"Ahhh, my favorite place to sleep..."

Harry's first Video!

Visit with the Besselsens

Today's post starts with a few extreme close-ups of our little-man. I was testing out the camera a bit, and was pleased with the results.
We've also included some photos of this past Sunday night, when Dan, Sandra, and Lorelei Besselsen came to visit. We had a great time, and Lorelei seemed really interested in the little baby. Lorelei is now about 5-1/2 months old, is super cute, and is quite generous with her smiles and giggles.

"Dad! Not so close!"

Just chillin' on the couch...

Meg seems really excited to see little Lorelei.

Harry is very content with Sandra

"I'm gonna grab his head!..."

"Or maybe just kiss him! Ha!.."

Embarrasskins

Embarrasskins (Em-bare-a-skins) is Nate's absolute favorite Cornellism. Originally coined by Nate's sister Taryn describing an embarrassing episode involving her "less than cool" younger brother, embarrasskins is a fun replacement for the word embarrassing.
Example: "Nate, is that really what you're going to wear?- Embarrasskins!"
Interestingly, we recently learned that Grandma Linda has always thought of the word as "in bear skins", totally different, but just as funny.
Earlier this week, Harry had a few serious "diaper disasters" heavily soiling some of his clothes- Embarraskins! Today's post starts with some bath photos, cleaning Harry up after one of these episodes.
"Maybe the water's a little warm?...."

Harry got a nice visit from Scott and Annie, Michael and Sophia. Meg and I aren't sure Harry was ever as small as cute little Sophia! What a peanut!

Play time with daddy!

"I love my mommy, and mommy loves the Bjorn!"

"Check out my new overalls!"

Someone looks a bit big for his newborn insert!

Toot Bee-Bee

Toot Bee-Bee is a new Cornellism credited to Meg's older sister Sarah. It's a replacement for the words "cute baby", and Meg and I have been using it a lot lately. I'm sure the pictures below will help explain why.
Example: "Aw Harry, I love your little froggy outfit, you are such a toot bee-bee!

Elise is really interested in her new little cousin.

This is Harry's favorite position to sleep in. Meg and I had a huge laugh when I tried getting in the same position myself- I'm much too inflexible!

Looks like Harry fell asleep before he had time to finish his sucker...

"I am not a morning person!"

"Man I love my mommy!"

"Did somebody order a double chin?"

"I think I can see my nose!"

Harry really likes going for walks, although he rarely stays awake the whole time.

"Why...Hello!"

"Wait a second...who's that other toot bee-bee?"
